With the 1 Star Diver training, you can take your very first professional step into the world of scuba diving.
According to the internationally recognized CMAS diving system, the 1 Star Diver level is the most fundamental certification for divers. Those who complete this level with Diveİstanbul gain the authorization to dive up to a depth of 18 meters.

CMAS 1 YILDIZ DALICI NEDİR?
DIVER ✰
- The CMAS 1 Star Diver Certification is an entry-level diving certificate.
- It allows diving to a maximum depth of 18 meters.
- Dives can only be conducted under the supervision of at least a 1 Star Diving Instructor or a diver of a higher level.
- It does not permit solo dives or dives with less qualified divers.

- Successfully pass the theoretical exam
- Successfully complete pool or open water training sessions

EĞİTİM DETAYLARI
COURSE ◉
- Theoretical Training: Diving equipment, underwater physics, safety, and emergency procedures. Theoretical lessons are conducted online.
- Confined Water Training: Basic diving skills (mask clearing, breathing control, underwater communication).
- Open Water Dives: 2–4 supervised dives up to 18 meters (may take place at various diving sites in Turkey).

TSSF – CMAS One Star Diver Training Participation Requirements & Details
Participation Requirements for TSSF – CMAS One Star Diver Training
Must be at least 14 years old (participants under 18 must provide a parental consent form).
Must be able to swim.
Must meet the health requirements specified by the TSSF regulations.
Must be literate.
Definition of a CMAS 1 Star Diver
The CMAS 1 Star Diver is the most basic diver level according to the internationally recognized CMAS (Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques) diving system. Divers who have received the 1✰ diver training and certification from a TSSF-affiliated diving organization are considered 1 Star Divers.
A 1 Star Diver is capable of assembling and disassembling scuba equipment, applying all basic diving skills with ease, and may dive up to 18 meters accompanied by a 3 Star Diver or a Certified Diving Instructor. Night dives are not permitted at this level.
Theoretical Subjects of the TSSF – CMAS One Star Diver Training
1T1 Administrative Lesson: What are TSSF and CMAS? Who can become a diver, and an introduction to the training system.
1T2 Basic Equipment: Purposes, structures, and types of masks, fins, and snorkels; practical usage information.
1T3 Basic Diving Signals: Underwater communication techniques, mandatory hand signals, special signals, their purposes, and applications.
1T4 Pressure and Volume Relations: General information on pressure and volume, practical applications, and calculations.
1T5 Autonomous Scuba Equipment: Principles of operation, types, and usage of buoyancy jackets, diving cylinders, and regulators; introduction to other equipment and setup procedures.
1T6 Physics & Physiology: Underwater effects of heat, light, and sound; basic life support system, circulatory system, respiratory system, nitrogen narcosis, decompression sickness, exhaustion, drowning, hypoxia, and hypothermia.
1T7 Buoyancy Equipment: Introduction and technical features of buoyancy compensators (BC), usage and purpose.
1T8 Diving Suits and Auxiliary Equipment: Types, properties, and uses of thermal protection suits and accessories.
1T9 Equipment Maintenance and Storage: How to maintain and prolong the life of diving equipment and how to store it when not in use.
1T10 Self-Rescue and Rescue: How to respond to emergencies underwater, explained with scenarios, slides, and videos.
1T11 Safe Diving Rules: Golden rules and precautions for enjoyable and safe diving, presented with slides and videos.
1T12 Dive Site Selection and Preservation: Lessons combined with experience sharing and discussions.
1T-Extra1 Decompression Tables: How to calculate allowable depth and bottom time, and how to plan a dive accordingly.
At the End of the TSSF – CMAS One Star Diver Training
Achieve a score of at least 70 points in the theoretical exam.
Successfully complete confined water and open water skills according to performance requirements.
