The 2 Star Diver is the intermediate diver level within the internationally recognized CMAS diving system. Divers who complete this level with Diveİstanbul are authorized to dive up to a depth of 30 meters.

CMAS 1 YILDIZ DALICI NEDİR?

The CMAS 2 Star Diver Certification is a qualification that documents intermediate-level diving competence.
It allows dives to a maximum depth of 30 meters.
A 2✰ Diver may lead inexperienced divers and take an active role in dive planning.
They are authorized to participate in night dives, drift dives, and special scenario dives.

TERMS ❑
Must hold a TSSF – CMAS 1✰ Diver Certification, with at least 2 months having passed since obtaining it.
Must document at least 20 logged dives in the dive logbook with official stamps and signatures.
Must be at least 15 years old; participants under 18 must provide a parental consent form.
Must meet the health requirements specified in the TSSF regulations.

Theoretical Training: Covers topics such as deep diving physics, nitrogen narcosis, emergency management, and dive planning.
Underwater Applications: Includes controlled deep dives between 20–30 meters, practicing leadership skills, and team diving exercises.
Navigation Training: Focuses on underwater navigation using a compass and natural references.

Participation Requirements for TSSF – CMAS Two Star Diver Training
Must hold a TSSF – CMAS 1✰ Diver Certification (or an equivalent certification from another system) and at least 2 months must have passed since obtaining it.
Must document at least 20 logged dives in the dive logbook with official stamps and signatures.
Must be at least 15 years old. Participants under 18 require a parental consent form.
Must meet the health requirements specified in the TSSF regulations.
Two Star Diver Definition
A Two Star Diver must be trained and certified by a diving organization affiliated with the federation. With open water diving experience, a 2✰ Diver can dive up to 30 meters when accompanied by at least one other Two Star Diver. For training purposes, a Two Star Diver may dive up to 42 meters under the supervision of a diving instructor. Night diving is permitted.
Theoretical Subjects of the TSSF – CMAS Two Star Diver Training
2T1 Diving Illnesses: Information on diving-related illnesses and their diagnosis.
2T2 First Aid and Diving: Explanations and practical applications of first aid both underwater and on the surface.
2T3 Air Calculations: Understanding air consumption rates at different depths, how air is used during dives, and applying air consumption calculations to dive planning.
2T4 Nitrogen Absorption: Causes of decompression sickness and nitrogen narcosis, and the effects of nitrogen on the human body.
2T5 Deep Diving / Night Diving: Explanations and practices related to deep and night diving.
2T6 Decompression Tables: Information on tables and rules to avoid decompression sickness.
2T7 Dive Planning and Organization: How to create a proper dive plan and organize dives accordingly.
2T8 Underwater Navigation: Methods and applications for finding objects, returning to the entry point, or navigating to a designated area.
At the End of the TSSF – CMAS Two Star Diver Training
Achieve at least 70 points on the theoretical exam.
Successfully complete confined water and open water skills according to performance requirements.
